Reporting to management, the holder of this position is responsible for estimating costs and the quantities of resources required to carry out projects according to plans, specifications, and other client requests, as well as developing fair and profitable bids for the organization.

The employee plans and oversees various projects under their responsibility to deliver them according to client requirements while respecting established schedules and budgets. They ensure contracts are executed efficiently by the plumbers to maximize productivity on site. They also maintain meticulous follow-up with various internal and external collaborators.

The project manager may be required to visit sites to verify certain information for bid creation and to monitor the quality of work performed. Based on plumbing experience, the project manager might be asked to handle service calls as needed and act as a dispatcher.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Estimation of projects and bid preparation.
Receive bid requests, analyze provided documents, plans, and specifications, conceptualize work execution stages, identify material needs, quantities, and labor costs to design the bids.
Communicate with suppliers, clients, or subcontractors as needed to obtain technical information or request pricing for bid creation, and if necessary, negotiate costs.
Prepare bids using computerized software, ensuring compliance with current laws and standards relevant to the sector and the standards set by the company (e.g., selling price, delivery time, etc.) and the closing time for calls for tenders.
Coordinate, in collaboration with dispatch and plumbers, the phases of the projects assigned to them.
Order parts and merchandise from suppliers.
Receive and dispatch calls.
Possess expertise to handle service calls as needed.

Experience:

Plumbing experience required.
Experience in a similar position.

Bilingual.
Proficient in reading plans and specifications.
